History Beautifully Reproduced

This series of 11x17 offset prints was part of a program to introduce a plant collection built around the historic botanical prints used in the publishing of Curtis Botanical Magazine during the early-mid 1800’s. Permission was granted by the National Archives that allowed hi-res scans to be made of the actual historic prints. Scans were formatted and used in high end offset reproductions. Sets of prints with accompanying detail cards were sold at point of sale with the various plants portrayed.
